The History

Mother/daughter team Mary Kilhoffer and Amy Vickers had a vision. They wanted to open a restaurant together. Amy had the experience of working restaurants from the tender age of 14, working every capacity from bus person to manager. Mary had the experience in business as this is her third successful business to open. Their concept was to create complex flavors using simple, fresh ingredients. They searched and found the perfect building in the old train station built in 1910 right in Main Street in downtown Elk City, Oklahoma. Both were born, raised and still living here so the decision was easy. After months of renovating the building without changing anything structurally and creating a menu using both their ideas and working alongside their friend Chef Bud Anderson, they were ready to open the doors in October 2011.
They have created an incomparable atmosphere in their beautifully, casually decorated historic building and the food is phenomenal! They welcome travelers of historic Route 66 along with locals and oilfield hands alike to “come as you are” And they also welcome those who wish to spend an elegant evening out.
Our menu includes a wide variety of steaks, salmon, trout and shrimp served as not only entrees but fresh salads, pasta dishes and sandwiches. We offer a wonderful healthy alternative with fresh vegetables as well as your good ol’ chicken fried steak!! We can pretty well guarantee you won’t ever leave hungry! We also have a full bar where we are always coming up with new drink choices or you can enjoy several choices of Oklahoma brews! We also offer some of the best desserts around!!
